living architecture: the architects have designed embedded in structures and trees grow out of …

lots of stone or concrete? arches cathedrals are inspired by the large branches of trees ….. Designers have taken the idea a step further and incorporated the trees in the design?, ie an artificial mound or castle, upper ated Hill, crowned by the beech. Of course, I'm thinking along the lines of the follies or the art of landscape here. Of course there are many dead flat landscapes in East Anglia and Lincolnshire, which could stand to have a focal point in the landscape could be seen from miles away.

The problem is, of course, that trees treated literally as described die, spoiling the whole effect. A tree of the land needs both empty as the crown covers the roots, nutrition and irrigation. A number of buildings have been built around an existing large tree in a courtyard in the center. Phillip Johnson put a great many cedar trees in the FT. Worth Water tranquil garden pool, but the effect is the opposite – look down first, and then down between them and cut them to see to the people upstairs. Part of the garden is a concrete step hill with larger trees that form a context and an external approach, but no building is involved. http://images.google.com/images?um=1&hl=en&rls=RNWE 2CRNWE 3A2004%% -15%% 2CRNWE 3Aen & q = Ft Worth + + Water + Garden

rock wall landscaping

rock wall landscaping 2 rock wall landscaping
How to build a strong wall?

We want to build a small wall to enclose a garden bed using the rocks on the floor. The landscape is ruged although many stones and lots of old tree roots. Anyone with advice on clearing and stacking techniques?

I do a lot of work rock. Not enough information in your question to give a real good answer. I have no idea what is clear. I made a couple of things similar to what I think you are asking … I have a rock wall on the side of my drive way is 200 feet long, 2 feet high that has no foundation and no mortar and has remained there for eleven years until now, with an animal occasionally some of them down. I have large rocks at all elevations and therefore is not just about putting a large rock at the bottom or a foundation. Also help to know what your basic form rocks. But, basically, is trying to have a strong base to begin with his rock pile for stable solid rock where every place and in two or more stones a bit like bricks, as often as possible. If you have some movement after placement. may need add a small rock or a chip to make it sit stable. The tighter you can make everything fit better,
