What is the best camouflage patterns for hunting in these areas of Texas?

I will be hunting in deep East Texas and a ranch in South Texas that borders Mexico.

What’s the terrain like?

Yes, camo is just camo, but if you wear the wrong pattern, you’ll stick out like a sore thumb.

For example, the camo patterns I use now, I wouldn’t use in North Georgia- the terrain is different.

Is it safe to use landscaping fabric around established trees with an exposed root system?

I have a large maple tree about 30 years old with a partially exposed root system. It is difficult to mow around the roots and I would like to place landscaping fabric around the tree and cover the fabric with pine straw mulch. Then I could set potted plants around it. The root system is so dense that my attempts with planting hostas and caladiums has been futile.

I would think that would be fine, we’ve put it around old trees before without any problems.

how do i go about starting a landscape business in San Diego?

I just moved here and would like to start a landscape business but I am unsure what steps to take first. I’m sure I need a business license but don’t know where to go.

If you’ve never been in business before, I would strongly recomment that you talk to a business counselor before you do anything especially spend money. I’d call the local office of SCORE in San Diego: https://www.score-sandiego.org/ the advice is FREE.

The counselor at SCORE will most likely advise you to write a business plan which is very good advice because it will force you to dig out all of the start up details and the costs of starting a landscaping business and force you to also understand all of the aspects of this business including the customers you’ll concentrate on (your market ) and how you’ll go after them.

For my photographer self business (lol)
I just used my name. In my opinion people are more likely to remember a persons name then some business name even if it is based on what you do.
My business is called Leigh Wall Photography simple and easy to remember and most of the time people remember the Leigh Wall part.
However if you are deadest of the relation part I’d go with something like Natural Looks Photography or Wild Captures.

Any ideas on landscaping 10 x 18 courtyard?

my townhouse has a small courtyard between house and gararge that I would like to make more appealing, it’s completly enclosed, gets good light and is in full view of the dining room. I want to make it into a low maintenance garden area with a lot of green and a lot of color. Right now I’m kicking around ideas, anyone know of some nice, colorful, type plants( shade giving plants would be nice) that would do well in a small area? Any other interesting ideas would be good as well.Also, I live in southeast Texas and I’m a very lazy gardener, so these have to be low maintenance plants,

Impatience is a very colorful plant and easy to care for.

I also have a plant that is called Hens and chicks. They multiply very quick and do well in shade or sun. You just can’t kill them. I started out with one plant and from there I have several gardens, just full. I’ve given many, many away. I’ve dug them up and just put them in a bucket and not planted them for day’s and when I plant them they come right back. I live in NJ where we have all seasons. They have been covered with snow, rain, sleet and sun etc. Nothing hurts them. As you can see I love this plant.

Another good plant,easy to grow, is a Hosta. Their green, some have white strips and they produce tall purple flowers. They can get very large.

Also petunias are a beautiful flower. They bloom all summer and come in a rainbow of colors. Easy care and they will bring humming birds to you back yard.

One more thing. If you have a small back yard, think of putting in a small pond. No fish, just plants. It’s pretty and the birds love it. Not to mention you will enjoy it.

How do I landscape my front yard corner lot?

I have a huge front yard. Its divided in half by my drive way. On one side is a large grassy corner with a stop sign and a speed limit sign in the tip of it. Its just too plain but I’m not sure how to landscape it. Please send me any links of pictures or explain your ideas.
