Desert Burn : is Desert Burn a Scam ?

The diet craze has swept Americans, prompting them to try just about any diet products sold in the market. But what many do not know is that a majority of these diet products are either fraudulent or are dangerous to the health. At present, the US FDA cannot keep up with the increasing number of diet products coming out in the market. Most of these products are not yet tested by the FDA. One such product is the ever popular Hoodia Gordonii.

Natural herb for weight loss

The Hoodia Gordonii plant was discovered by the popular show 60 Minutes. One of its correspondents traveled to the South African Kalahari Desert to do a report on the Hoodia Gordonii plant ? a cactus-like plant that has appetite suppressing properties.

For the South African bushmen, the Hoodia Gordonii plant serves to stave off hunger during long hunting trips or famine. Reporters from 60 Minutes are said to have tried the plant and testified to its effects.

The boom

Since then, the Hoodia Gordonii has received recognition from the media. Top TV shows like 60 Minutes, the Today Show, and even Oprah claim that the herb is effective. But how safe is the Hoodia Gordonii herbal supplement?

Results vary

Although scientific evidence has testified to the positive effects of Hoodia, the top brass pharmaceutical company Pfizer begs to disagree. According to a $21 million experiment conducted by Pfizer, the Hoodia Gordonii plant contains chemicals that can be harmful to the liver.

Is Hoodia a scam?

Many Hoodia variants have appeared in the market today. One example is that made by the company Desert Burn. Desert Burn Hoodia claims to have produced the first-ever Hoodia herbal supplement even before the product became popular.

In order to determine if a Hoodia product is a fake, you have to look at its ingredients. Authentic Hoodia should contain 100% pure Hoodia extracts, nothing more, nothing less. A study conducted by Truth Publishing has revealed of all the Hoodia products that they have investigated, only six products contain 100% Hoodia Gordonii extracts. These are:

? Desert Burn

? Hoodoba Pure

? Dr. Wheeler’s Afrigetics

? King Hoodia

? Hoodia Max

? Ethno Africa
